The no26 G-Drive Racing Aurus 01-Gibson was once again the leading car, topping the time sheets in the second and final 90-minute Free Practice session of the 4 Hours of Le Castellet weekend in the south of France.

Nyck De Vries set a 1m42.841 lap time, the fastest lap of the 5.771 km Circuit Paul Ricard so far this weekend, 0.242s ahead of the no17 Idec Sport Oreca of Gaby Aubry, which was the top Pro-Am competitor, and a further 0.618s ahead of the no32 United Autosports Oreca of Job Van Uitert.

The no13 Inter Europol Competition Ligier was the fastest in the LMP3 category, with Ugo De Wilde setting a 1m49.612 lap, 0.299s ahead of the no20 Team Virage Ligier of Garett Grist, with the no3 United Autosports Ligier of Duncan Tappy 3rdfastest with a 1m50.003 lap.

The no95 TF Sport Aston Martin looked on course to set the fastest time in Free Practice for the second time in the weekend, but a late lap by Gianmaria Bruni put the no77 Proton Competition Porsche at the top of the LMGTE class with a 1m53.193, beating Ross Gunn’s time by just 0.047s, with the no93 Porsche of Richard Lietz third fastest.

Qualifying for the 4 Hours of Le Castellet will start at 13h40 this afternoon, starting with LMGTE, followed by LMP3 at 14h00 and LMP2 at 14h20.
