The no41 Orlen Team WRT Oreca 07-Gibson topped the time sheets with the fastest lap of the weekend so far in Spain. Louis Deletraz posted a 1m32.828 lap of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, eight tenths fastest than Phil Hanson’s time set in the no22 United Autosports Oreca in FP1 yesterday.
It was the no32 United Autosports Oreca which was second fastest in FP2, with Job Van Uitert setting a 1m33.100, two tenths behind the no41 Oreca and 0.241s ahead of the no21 Dragonspeed USA Oreca of Ben Hanley, which was the fastest of the Pro-Am cars.
The quickest car in the LMP3 category was the no3 United Autosports Ligier with Duncan Tappy posting a 1m39.772, just 0.009s slower than the best time set in FP1.
The no70 Team Virage Ligier was second fastest, 1.1 seconds behind the no3 Ligier with Garett Grist setting a 1m40.909 lap time.The no4 DKR Engineering was third fastest and the quickest Duqueine M30-D08 after Laurents Hörr set a 1m41.041, just 0.132s slower than the no70 Ligier.
The no80 Iron Lynx Ferrari set the pace in the LMGTE category with Miguel Molina’s lap of 1m42.081 putting the F488 in the middle of the LMP3 times and well ahead of the second placed car, the no93 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR-19 of Richard Lietz with a 1m42.876 lap, just ahead of the no55 Spirit of Race Ferrari of Matt Griffin on 1m42.969.
Qualifying will take place at 13h40 today, beginning with the LMGTE class.
