The no22 United Autosports Oreca-Gibson was the fastest of 38 entries for the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps during the first free practice session of the weekend in Belgium.
In dry and warm conditions, the 90-minute session finished without any interruptions.
Phil Hanson set the fastest lap of 2m05.743, over one second ahead of the second fastest entry, championship leader Louis Deletraz in the no41 Orlen Team WRT Oreca, with Charles Milesi in the no37 Cool Racing Oreca less than a second behind in third, which was also the top Pro-Am entry.
The no4 DKR Engineering Duqueine was the fastest of the 16 LMP3 cars with Laurents Hörr setting a 2m13.077 lap, 0.2 seconds ahead of reigning champion Wayne Boyd in the no2 United Autosports Ligier, with the no13 Inter Europol Competition Ligier six tenths further back.
Championship leaders Iron Lynx were the quickest in the LMGTE class with Miguel Molina lapping the 7km Spa-Francorchamps circuit in the no80 Ferrari 488 in 2m17.859, just under two tenths ahead of the no93 Proton Competition Porsche of Richard Lietz, with the no95 TF Sport Aston Martin in third.
The second and final Free Practice session of the weekend will take place tomorrow morning at 09h05.
