Rahel Frey took the final podium position in the no83 Iron Lynx Ferrari, passing the no93 Proton Competition Porsche in the last 90 seconds of the race at the restart following a late Full Course Yellow.

  1. The no93 Proton Competition Porsche of Michael Fassbender was the lead LMGTE car at the start of the race but the chaos caused by the spinning no26 G-Drive Racing Aurus after being hit by the no34 Racing Team Turkey Oreca saw the LMGTE order shuffled as several cars took avoiding action.
  2. The first Safety Car was deployed when the no6 Ligier and no66 JMW Motorsport Ferrari of Rodrigo Sales clashed at T14, with the cars ending up in the gravel trap.
  3. At the restart the no95 TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage of Ollie Hancock was in the lead, with the no77 Proton Competition Porsche of Matt Campbell in second place and closing the gap.
  4. For several laps the two cars battled for the lead but eventually Campbell made a move that worked at Bruxelles and the Australian took the lead on lap 9.
  5. Hancock then had the no80 Iron Lynx Ferrari of Rino Mastronardi challenging for second place, but again the British driver knew how to defend a position well.
  6. The first Full Course Yellow period on lap 15 saw the leaders pit, with Matt Campbell handing over the no77 Porsche to Christian Ried. Ollie Hancock was still in second place but now had the no83 Ferrari of Michele Gatting challenging for his second spot.
  7. This continued for several laps, which allowed the no80 Ferrari of Rino Mastronardi to join the battle. Gatting was boxed in by some of the faster prototypes, which allowed Mastronardi to take third place from his Iron Lynx teammate at the final corner.
  8. Hancock then headed to the pits to hand the Aston Martin to John Hartshorne.
  9. Mastronardi then closed the gap to the leading Porsche and started to put the pressure on Christian Ried. On lap 38 the Italian moved into the lead at Fagnes. The no88 Ferrari of François Perrodo was second after Ried and Gatting went into the pits.
  10. After the LMGTE leaders all pitted the no83 Iron Lynx Ferrari of Sarah Bovy, which was slightly out of sequence with the rest of the field, was leading the race ahead of the highly experienced Emmanuel Collard in the no88 AF Corse Ferrari. The bronze rated Bovy wasn’t intimated by her rival and held off the French drivers challenges for several laps in a display of racing excellence.
  1. Collard finally made his way past the no83 Ferrari at T1.
  2. Another FCY period provided the opportunity for more pitstops and when the racing went green again it was Collard leading, with Cooper MacNeil in the no77 Porsche in second, 9 seconds behind the no88 Ferrari.
  3. MacNeil was then demoted to third when he was passed by the no80 Ferrari of Matteo Cressoni at Les Combes.
  4. Sarah Bovy in the no83 Ferrari was lying in fourth and was caught by the no93 Proton Competition Porsche of Felipe Laser. Laser tried to get pass the Belgian driver at T19, but once again Bovy was not going to give up the place easily. She fought back and retook the place at T1.However, Laser took the place at T18 on the next lap.
  5. The no77 Porsche was served a drive through penalty for MacNeil abusing track limits, which moved the no93 Porsche into third spot. However, Laser was now being caught by the no83 Ferrari, which now had Rahel Frey behind the wheel.
  6. Alessio Rovera in the no88 AF Corse Ferrari held an 18 second lead over the no80 Iron Lynx 488 of Miguel Molina, the Spanish driver unable to close the gap to his Italian rival.
