Spa-Francorchamps has hosted the Belgian round of the European Le Mans Series since 2016, when the race was added to the calendar bringing the total number of rounds up to six.

Here are some facts and figures from the five races held at Spa-Francorchamps since 2016

  1. The first edition of the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps was won by the no21 DragonSpeed Oreca 05-Nissan of Henrik Hedman, Nicolas Lapierre and Ben Hanley.
  2. In 2016 the LMGTE category was won by the no66 JMW Motorsport Ferrari 458 Italia of Rob Smith, Rory Butcher and Andrea Bertolini.
  3. In 2016 the LMP3 class was won by the no9 Graff Ligier JS P3-Nissan of Enzo Guibbert, Paul Petit and Eric Trouillet.
  4. In 2016 current championship leaders Orlen Team WRT made their LMP2 debut with a Ligier JSP2, with Laurens Vanthoor, Dries Vanthoor and Will Stevens finishing second, 2m20s behind the no21 DragonSpeed Oreca.
  5. United Autosports is the most successful team at Spa-Francorchamps, with three wins in LMP2 (2018/2019/2020) and two in LMP3 (2018/2020). Three of those wins have seen the crews go on to become ELMS champions.
  6. Filipe Albuquerque and Phil Hanson have won the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in 2018, 2019 and 2020.

  1. The longest race was held in 2019, with the winners completing 707.39km or 101 laps of the 7.0039km circuit.
  2. The shortest race was held in 2018 when heavy rain caused several safety cars and red flags. Only 280.16km or 40 laps were completed when the race was stopped, with half points were awarded

The 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps is Round 5 of the 2021 European Le Mans Series and it will be held on Sunday 19 September.
