It has been six years since the European Le Mans Series last raced at the Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari.

Here are some facts and figures from the previous four races held between 2013 and 2016.

  1. Ferrari has taken 10 of the 12 LMGTE places including podium lockouts in 2013 and 2014.
  2. Ferrari has won three of the four races at Imola (2013-2015), with Porsche winning with Proton Competition winning in 2016.
  3. In 2014 Ferrari took the top five places in LMGTE and also the top three in the GTC class.
  4. The current official LMP2 lap record stands at 1m34.799 (186.4kph), set by Nicolas Lapierre in an Oreca 05-Nissan in 2016.
  5. The current official LMP3 lap record is 1m40.019 (176.7kph), set by Dino Lunardi in a Ligier JS P3 in 2016.
  6. The current official LMGTE lap record is 1m41.879 (173.5 kph) set by Darren Turner in an Aston Martin V8 Vantage in 2016.
  7. TDS Racing has won the ELMS race in Imola three times (2013, 2015 and 2016) with Mathias Beche, who is currently racing with the French team, winning in 2013 and 2016.
  8. Jota Sport won the 2014 race with a Zytek-Nissan driven by LMP2 champions Simon Dolan, Harry Tincknell and Filipe Albuquerque.
  9. The first time the LMP3 class raced at Imola, the University of Bolton Ginetta-Nissan scored the first category win in Italy, with Rob Garofall and Morten Dons standing on the top step of the podium.
  10. The longest race distance recorded was in the 2014 4 Hours of Imola when the winning no38 Jota Sport Zytek completed 139 laps or 682.35km.
  11. In 2015 the race distance was 138 laps (677.44km) and in 2016 it was 121 laps (593.99km).The 2013 race was three hours in duration and the winners covered 108 laps (530.17km).
  12. Nicolas Lapierre (no37 Cool Racing) took the LMP2 pole position at Imola in 2016 with a 1m33.780 lap in the no21 Dragonspeed Oreca.
  13. Reigning LMGTE Champion Matteo Cressoni (no60 Iron Lynx) took the LMGTE pole position at Imola in a Ferrari F458 Italia in 2014 – 1m39.920
  14. 2013 ELMS Champion Matt Griffin (no55 Spirit of Race) took the LMGTE Pole in a Ferrari F458 Italia in 2013 at Imola – 1m41.994
