This weekend the 2021 European Le Mans Series will get underway, with the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya hosting Round 1, the 4 Hours of Barcelona, on Sunday 18 April.
The grid for the opening race of the season will be an impressive 42 cars and they all gathered on the start-finish straight for the traditional group picture ahead of the two-day official test at the Spanish circuit on Monday 12 and Tuesday 13 April.
The grid was headed by the 2020 championship winning cars, the no22 United Autosports Oreca 07-Gibson (LMP2), the no2 United Autosports Ligier JS P320-Nissan (LMP3) and the no77 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR-19 (LMGTE), with the rest of the huge field lining up behind them.
With the picture done, it’s now time to go racing!
