The second and final practice session ahead of tomorrow’s 4 Hours of Le Castellet saw United Autosports once again heading the time sheets with the top three cars split by just 0.132s at the end of the 90-minute session.
The no32 United Autosports Oreca 07-Gibson posted the fastest time so far in Free Practice with Alex Brundle setting a 1m38.921, just 0.077s ahead of Nyck de Vries in the no26 G-Drive Racing Aurus 01-Gibson. The second United Autosports Oreca was third fastest with Filipe Albuquerque posting a 1m39.053, just 0.055s behind the G-Drive Aurus.
The LMP3 class was headed by the no4 DKR Engineering Duqueine M30-D08 with Laurents Hörr lapping the track in 1m48.239s, just 0.098s ahead of the no11 Eurointernational Ligier of Niko Kari, with the no8 Realteam Racing Ligier of David Droux third fastest with a 1m48.850 lap.
Aston Martin Racing snatched the fastest LMGTE class time in Free Practice 2 with Ross Gunn taking the top spot with a 1m51.507 lap of the 5.77km Le Castellet track.The time was 0.239s ahead of the no93 Proton Competition Porsche 911 RSR of Richard Lietz, with the no60 Iron Lynx Ferrari F488 of Andrea Piccini in third with a 1m51.776, 0.030s behind the Porsche.
Qualifying for the 4 Hours of Le Castellet will take place at 13h40 today, with the LMGTE cars going first, followed by LMP3 at 14h00 and LMP2 at 14h20.
