After two wins followed by two non-points scoring events in Italy and Belgium, victory in the Goodyear 4 Hours of Silverstone has propelled the no18 IDEC Sport of Jamie Chadwick, Daniel Juncadella and Mathys Jaubert right back into contention for the 2025 European Le Mans Series LMP2 title.
The season finale in Portugal next month will see three teams go head-to-head for glory and secure one of the two automatic invitations to the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans.
A disappointing 8thplace finish after starting on pole position has left double race winners VDS Panis Racing still leading the championship standings. Oliver Gray, Esteban Masson and Charles Milesi head to Portugal on 81-points, just six ahead of IDEC Sport who are on 75-points, with the no43 Inter Europol Competition in third, with Nick Yelloly, Jakub Smiechowski and Tom Dillmann on 74-points.
With only 26 points left to win in Portugal, and with the rest of the field at least 33 points behind, the battle for the championship trophy will be between these three cars.
A second win for the no20 Algarve Pro Racing crew of Kriton Lentoudis, Olli Caldwell and Alex Quinn at Silverstone has extended their championship lead to 9-points as they head to Portimão for the home race of the APR team on 91-points.
The no99 AO by TF Oreca of PJ Hyett, Dane Cameron and Louis Delétraz finished second in the UK after starting on pole position and are on 82-points.
François Perrodo, Matthieu Vaxivière and Alessio Rovera have a slim chance of retaining their 2025 title in the no83 AF Corse. They are currently on 66-points, 25-points behind APR with 26-points still to be won, so claiming their first pole position of the 2025 season is going to be crucial.
After three wins from pole position and then suffering a DNF in Belgium, the no17 CLX Motorsport crew of Adrien Closmenil, Theodor Jensen and Paul Lanchère bounced back at Silverstone to win the race and claim the 2025 ELMS LMP3 Driver and Team titles with one race of the season remaining.
The Swiss team has amassed 104 points, 46 points ahead of the rest of the field led by the no68 M Racing crew of Stephane Tribaudini and Quentin Antonel and the no88 Inter Europol Competition crew of Reece Gold, Douwe Dedecker and Tim Creswick who are both on 58 points.
A second victory of the season for Lilou Wadoux, Custodio Toledo and Riccardo Agostini has propelled the no50 AF Corse Richard Mille Ferrari into a 12-point lead at the head of the LMGT3 standings, with six other teams who still have a mathematical chance of taking the title.
The no50 crew are on 66 points, with the no59 Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin of Valentin Hasse Clot, Clément Mateu and Erwan Bastard in second place on 54-points and the no82 TF Sport Corvette on 52-points.
Célia Martin secured her first ELMS pole position for the no85 Iron Dames Porsche but after leading the first part of the race, the Porsche finished 10th, leaving Martin and teammates Sarah Bovy and Michelle Gatting on 47 points, 19 behind the leaders.
The no57 Kessel Racing Ferrari is also on 47-points, while former championship leaders Spirit of Race are on 44 points and the no86 GR Racing Ferrari is the final car still in contention on 43-points, 23 behind with 26 points still available.
The season finale, the 4 Hours of Portimão will take place on Saturday 18 October.
