Argentine racer José María López has a motorsport resume that is the envy of almost every driver in the world, with the 40-year-old from Cordoba being one of a handful of drivers to have won FIA World Championship titles in two different disciplines.
After winning three back-to-back FIA World Touring Car Championship titles in 2014, 2015 and 2016, ‘Pechito’ turned his attentions to the FIA World Endurance Championship, winning two titles with Toyota in 2020 and 2021.
While still competing in the FIA WEC with Toyota in the Hypercar category, José María López made his ELMS debut in 2023, racing with Swiss team COOL Racing in LMP2 and in Le Castellet last month he added his first ELMS pole position to his racing CV.
