After 24 hours of thrilling racing, the ELMS competitors taking part to the 24 Hours of Le Mans performed well.
The n°83 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE driven by François Perrodo, Niklas Nielsen and Alessio Rovera finished first of the LMGTE AM class with the n°33 TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage AMR (Ben Keating/ Dylan Pereira/ Felipe Fraga) in second. In third is another ELMS competitor with the n°80 Iron Lynx Ferrari driven by Matteo Cressoni, Rino Mastronardi and Calum Illot.
In the LMP2 Pro/ AM class, the ELMS also shone during the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the n°21 DragonSpeed USA Oreca 07 of Juan Pablo Montoya, Henrik Hedman and Ben Hanley finishing first.
It was all drama in the LMP2 class when after leading most of the 24 hours, the n°41 Team WRT Oreca 07 stopped on track on the last lap of the race and Yife Ye who was at the wheel was not able to make it to the finish line. As a result, the sister car, the n°31 Oreca 07 (Ferdinand Habsburg/ Robin Frijns/ Charles Milesi) took the LMP2 win for the first attempt of the team at Le Mans. In second is the WEC competitor, the n°28 JOTA Oreca 07. The n°65 Panis Racing, a regular ELMS competitor, finished third and stood on the Le Mans podium for the second year in a row.
