The first race of the season saw the no32 United Autosports Ligier JSP217-Gibson take a dramatic win in the final 15 minutes of the race, passing the no22 G Drive Racing Oreca 07-Gibson of Ryo Hirakawa. The no49 High Class Racing Dallara was third on teh Danish team's ELMS debut.
United Autosports celebrated a second victory as John Falb brought the Ligier JS P3-Nissan home well ahead of the rest of the field. TF Sport also celebrated with a win in the LMGTE Class on the British team's ELMS debut wth the Aston Martin Vantage.
