A Record-Breaking Season – In More Ways Than One

While there were plenty of records broken on track, with new lap records set, a record-breaking points tally in LMP3 and Jamie Chadwick becoming the first female driver to win overall in the ELMS three of the highlights, it has also been a record-breaking season with the fans of the European Le Mans Series.

More people came to watch the European Le Mans Series in person than ever before with over 210,200 people attending the six race weekends across Europe which is a new record for the championship.

It has also been a record-breaking year for those watching the races from home with a 32% increase in the number of views compared to last season and a 15% increase in the number of hours the ELMS events have been watched on YouTube and on FIAWEC.TV.

The ELMS social media platforms saw an increase of nearly 74,000 followers in 2025, resulting in an impressive 56% increase in the number of impressions, which stands at just under 95 million. The video views also saw a 34% increase, rising to 73.2 million.

With fans participating alongside drivers and other members of the paddock in the first Charity Run at Silverstone, which raised over 11,000€ for former ELMS Champion Sir Chris Hoy’s ‘Tour de 4’ partner charities (Breast Cancer Now, Cancer Research UK, MacMillan, Maggies and Prostate Cancer UK).

We look forward to breaking even more records in 2026, which begins in Barcelona next April.
