With half of the races completed in the 2022 ELMS we have a look back at some of the statistics in the LMP3 class from the races held at Le Castellet, Imola and Monza.

PODIUM FINISHES

Eight different teams have finished in a podium position in the first three races, with only the no17 Cool Racing Ligier claiming two podium finishes this season so far with a win in Le Castellet and a 3rdplace finish in Imola.

The no3 United Autosports Ligier and the no13 Inter Europol Competition Ligier won in Imola and Monza respectively, making it three different winners in the three races held so far in 2022.

The no2 United Autosports Ligier, the no27 Cool Racing Ligier and the no6 360 Racing Ligier have all finished on the second step of the podium in Le Castellet, Imola and Monza respectively.

The no5 RLR MSport Ligier finished third in Le Castellet and the no11 Eurointernational Ligier finished on the final step of the podium in Monza.

POLE POSITIONS

Young Dane Malthe Jakobsen has been the man of the moment in qualifying, posting the fastest time in each of the three sessions so far the year to boost the teams championship points haul by an extra three points.

FASTEST LAPS

The fastest race laps recorded in each of the three races have been set by the no17 Cool Racing and the no5 RLR MSport Ligiers.

In Le Castellet Malthe Jakobsen posted a 1m50.666 on lap 91, which is an average speed of 187.7kph.

In Imola, Jakobsen set the fastest lap of the race again, a 1m39.256 on lap 91 (178.0kph), a new LMP3 lap record at Imola.

In Monza, Alex Kapadia posted a 1m46.667 in the RLR MSport Ligier on lap 86 (195.5kph).

RACE DISTANCES

Thirteen cars took part in each of the three 4-Hour races held so far this season.

Round 1: Le Castellet (5.773km)

  1. In Le Castellet the winning car completed 115 laps or 663.67km
  2. The 13-car grid completed 1236 laps, or a total distance of 7132.96km

Round 2: Imola (4.909km)

  1. In Imola the winning car completed 123 laps or 603.81km
  2. The 13-car grid completed 1177 laps or a total distance of 5777.89km

Round 3: Monza (5.793km)

  1. In Monza the winning car completed 117 laps or 677.78km
  2. The 13-car grid completed 1131 laps or a total distance of 6551.88km

The total distance covered by all competitors during the first three races of the 2022 European Le Mans Series is 19,462.73km

CHAMPIONSHIP POSITIONS

The no17 Cool Racing Ligier is currently holding a 4-point advantage at the top of the table with 43 points, with the no5 RLR MSport Ligier in second on 39 and the no3 United Autosports Ligier in third on 31 points.
