The race for the LMP3 title could hardly be closer with just two points between the top three contenders, Eurointernational, Team Virage and RLR MSport.
Canadian Adam Ali and his British teammate Matt Bell are currently heading the championship standings, but their lead was cut from 14 points to just 1 point after a disappointing result in Mugello and a win for Gillian Henrion, Julien Gerbi and Bernardo Pinheiro in the no8 Team Virage Ligier.
Adam Ali now returns to Portimao, where he and Matt Bell scored their first ELMS LMP3 win in 2023, to try and secure the 2024 title in the last ELMS race for the current LMP3 machinery.
