The 16 LMP2 cars entered for this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans gathered at the Circuit Paul Ricard for a special picture ahead of this weekend’s 4 Hours of Le Castellet.
This weekend’s event in the South of France will be the final race ahead of the ‘Big One’, the 92nd running of the world’s most famous race.
While the FIA World Endurance Championship no longer has an LMP2 category, the class now takes centre stage in the European Le Mans Series, with 22 cars entered in the ELMS this season, the largest gathering of LMP2 cars in the world.
This year the LMP2 grid will be composed by 15 ELMS entries, including reigning LMP2 champions Algarve Pro Racing, and LMP2 Pro/Am Champions AF Corse, as well as the winners of the Asian Le Mans Series, the Crowdstrike Racing by APR Oreca-Gibson.
