The first race of the 2016 European Le Mans Series has been run and the first car to take the chequered flag was the no38 G-Drive Racing Gibson-Nissan with Giedo Van Der Garde while Simon Dolan and Harry Tincknell cheered from the team garage.
In the LMP3 class it was a 1-2 for the United Autosports team, with the no2 Ligier of Christian ENgland leading home the sister car of Wayne Boyd.
The LMGTE victory went to the British JMW Motorpsort team with Rory Butcher taking the chequered flag in the Ferrari F458 ahead of the no99 Aston Martin Racing Vantage of Andrew Howard.
