After securing the fastest time in qualifying, the no 199 AO by TF Oreca took the top position in LMP2 in the second Free Practice session for the 93rd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Dane Cameron set the fastest LMP2 lap in the two hour night session on Wednesday with his LMP2 Pro/Am car, the American lapping the 13.6km circuit in 3m37.515, 1.129s ahead of his nearest rival Pietro Fittipaldi in the no22 United Autosports, who was the fastest of the eight LMP2 competitors.
CLX Pure Rxcing and TDS Racing were 3rd and 4th fastest respectively when the chequered flag was waved at midnight.
While the Akkodis ASP Team took a 1-2 in FP2, the best of the three ELMS entries in the LMP3 category was the no57 Kessel Racing Ferrari with Daniel Serra’s 3m56.594 lap good enough for 4th.The no150 Richard Mille AF Corse Ferrari finished the session in 15th, while the no63 Iron Lynx Mercedes-AMG didn’t turn a wheel after the earlier accident in FP1.
