The updated 62 car, 186 driver provisional entry list for the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans has been announced by the ACO and it features many of the teams and drivers from the ELMS across all three classes.
The 17 strong LMP2 category will feature 15 cars from the ELMS, with the only exceptions being the IMSA LMP2 Championship winning no34 Inter Europol Competition Oreca-Gibson and the Asian Le Mans Series winning LMP2 team, the no45 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca-Gibson.However, both cars will feature current ELMS drivers, with Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer and Luca Ghiotto in the no34 Oreca and Alex Quinn in the no45 APR Oreca.
2024 ELMS LMP2 Champions AO by TF will be on the grid competing in LMP2 Pro/Am with an unchanged ELMS line up of Louis Deletraz, Dane Cameron and PJ Hyett, the only change is the number on the car, which will be 199 instead of 99 due to that number being used in the WEC by Proton Competition in the Hypercar category.
2024 LMP2 Vice Champions Inter Europol Competition get a second automatic invitation to Le Mans with the no43 Oreca being raced by Jakub Smiechowski, Tom Dillmann and Nick Yelloly.
Reigning LMP2 Pro/Am champions Francois Perrodo and Matthieu Vaxiviere will be in the no183 AF Corse Oreca and they will be joined by Antonio Felix Da Costa for the race as Alessio Rovera is racing in the WEC entered no21 Vista AF Corse Ferrari.
2024 LMP3 Champions RLR MSport step up to LMP2 for the big race thanks to their automatic invitation, with reigning LMP3 champion Michael Jensen joining Ryan Cullen and Patrick Pilet in the no15 Oreca.
LMP2 ELMS Championship leaders Jamie Chadwick and Mathys Jaubert will be taking part in their first 24 Hours of Le Mans with IDEC Sport, and they will be joined by former Le Mans winner and FIA World Endurance Champion André Lotterer in the no18 Oreca-Gibson.IDEC Sport also have the second car for Paul Lafargue, Job Van Uitert and Sebastian Alvarez.
United Autosports will also enter two cars, one in LMP2 and one in LMP2 Pro/Am.The no9 Iron Lynx-Proton Oreca will be entered in LMP2, as will the no25 Algarve Pro Racing, no37 CLX Pure Rxcing and the no48 VDS Panis Racing.
The no11 Proton Competition, no24 Nielsen Racing and no29 TDS Racing will join the 9-car strong LMP2 Pro/Am entry.
Three ELMS cars will be on the 24 car LMGT3 grid.2024 ELMS LMGT3 Champions Iron Lynx have an automatic invitation and will field the no63 Mercedes-AMG LMGT3 alongside their two FIA WEC entries.
The no57 Kessel Racing Ferrari 296 LMGT3 will be on the grid its bright Car Guy livery. Takeshi Kimura, Daniel Serra and Casper Stevenson will be sharing the driving duties.
The final ELMS entry is the Richard Mille AF Corse Ferrari fresh from the class victory at the 4 Hours of Le Castellet.Race winners Lilou Wadoux, Riccardo Agostini and Custodio Toledo will be racing for class honours at the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans.
