ELMS Competitors Taste Success At Le Mans

While for many of the ELMS teams taking part in the 90th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans they didn’t score the successes they had all hoped at the start on Saturday afternoon, there was still some familiar names from the ELMS grid who were spraying the champagne on Sunday.

LMGTE PRO

Richard Lietz, who drives with Michael Fassbender and Zacharie Robichon in the no93 Proton Competition Porsche, was on duty with the works car in the LMGTE Pro category.  Racing the no91 Porsche GT Team 911 RSR-19 with Gianmaria Bruni and Fred Makowiecki he finished on the top step of the podium in what will be the last time the LMGTE Pro will race at Le Mans.

Reigning ELMS LMGTE Champion Miguel Molina finished third in the no52 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GTE Evo.

LMP2

Reigning ELMS LMP2 Champions Louis Deletraz and Robert Kubica finished on the second step of the podium at the end of the 24 Hours of Le Mans in the no9 Prema Orlen Team Oreca, with ELMS regular Lorenzo Colombo standing alongside them at the celebrations.

The top LMP2 Pro/Am finisher was the no45 Algarve Pro Racing Oreca, a great result for the ELMS regulars.

LMGTE AM

Another name that finished on the top step of the podium at Le Mans was TF Sport, the British team taking victory in LMGTE Am with Ben Keating, Henrique Chaves and Marco Sorensen, who is racing the no69 Oman Racing with TF Sport Aston Martin Vantage in the ELMS this year. 

LMGTE PRO
