Logan Sargeant subbed for the British driver in Austria, taking pole position for the 4 Hours of Red Bull Ring on his debut in a Le Mans Prototype, something that Harry Tincknell also did on his debut.

The Racing Team Turkey Oreca is currently lying in third spot in the LMP2 Pro-Am championship, with Tincknell looking to help his teammates move up the table in Round 3 of the 2021 season at Le Castellet this weekend.

“It’s good to be back in the ELMS this year in the Oreca with Racing Team Turkey. After the test today I think we are there or there abouts. It’s still very early days for the team but it was fantastic to get that pole position in Austria and then having a really strong run in the race to get the first podium in Pro-Am.We are still working our way into the window here, but it’s just the Thursday test and the weekend hasn’t really begun yet.

“I’m really enjoying the car and really enjoying the team. Si and I have been pals for quite a while now and I’ve been watching his rise through motorsport.Charlie and I also go along way back as well, so it’s really friendly atmosphere with a lot of fun and we are pushing each other forward.

“Logan did a fantastic job, Charlie and I have a connection to Logan through karting, with his manager looking after my early career as well as Charlies. So, Logan was the perfect person to put in the car, a young charger coming in from Formula 3 with a similar background to what I had when I first made my mark in sports cars and we both got a pole position on our first outing, which is amazing. It is great to see him in the paddock this weekend, he is competing in the Le Mans Cup, and I am sure we are going to see a lot more of him in sports cars.”
