The circuit also doesn’t have the traditional gravel traps, but wide run offs with high grip painted lines to slow any wayward cars down.In a change from previous races, the chicane in the middle of the Mistral Straight will be used this year for the first time since 2017. The circuit length for the 2025 4 Hours of Le Castellet is 5.821km.
In 2020, due to the Covid 19 pandemic when the race in Spain was cancelled due to restrictions, Le Castellet became the first circuit to host two events in the same season. The 4 Hours of Le Castellet was held on Sunday 19 July 2020, with the Le Castellet 240, a night race, being held a month later on Saturday 29 August.
