After being disqualified from the 4 Hours of Monza in July after being pushed to Parc Ferme after the chequered flag by the no83 Ferrari (Stewards Decision no25), the no60 Iron Lynx Ferrari 488 EVO has been reinstated after the Italian team won their appeal before the National Appeal Court of the FFSA.
The no60 Iron Lynx Ferrari, along with drivers Davide Rigon, Claudio Schiavoni and Matteo Cressoni, will now receive the 25 points for the win in Monza.
This means they are now in second place in the Team standings on 49 points, 13 points behind the no77 Proton Competition Porsche of Christian Ried, Gianmaria Bruni and Lorenzo Ferrari (62 points).
The championship standings will be updated and reissued ahead of this weekend’s penultimate round of the 2022 European Le Mans Series, the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps
Translation of the result for the Appeal
The National Appeals Tribunal declares the appellant's appeal admissible. It states that the decision of the stewards' panel should be confirmed since it considered that the facts contested by the appellant constituted an infringement of article 15.1.1 of the 2022 European Le Mans Series sporting regulations and of article 2.5 of the ISC; but decides, taking into account the elements developed above, to cancel the disqualification pronounced by the Stewards' Panel and to replace it by a fine of 10,000 Euros imposed on the competitor in application of the provisions of article 12.4.1.c of the ISC and of article 16.1.5 of the 2022 European Le Mans Series sporting regulations. The #60 car will be reinstated in the event standings and in all its sporting rights. Half of the appeal deposit will be retained by the FFSA in accordance with the provisions of article 5 of the "National Appeal Tribunal" regulations.
